Colorado home prices hit all-time highs in July!

Median prices for sales of homes in the Denver-Aurora, Boulder and Colorado Springs home markets hit an all-time highs in July.

According to a new report by California housing data company RealtyTrac, the three Colorado markets joined only seven other U.S. markets where home prices hit record levels, out of 161 U.S. markets analyzed.

RealtyTrac’s report indicated that the July median sale price hit $295,000 in Denver-Aurora; $215,000 in Colorado Springs; and $389,450 in Boulder. The U.S. median home sales price in July was $189,500, up 2 percent from the previous month.

And Denver was one out of only four markets that reached an all-time high for sales volume in the first half of the year since 2000, RealtyTrac said.

And metro Denver in June saw the biggest home-resale price gains from a year earlier out of 20 major U.S. markets, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home.
